The Preserve
Wild-flushing birds on real upland ground
KR Ranch is a working game preserve set in the farm country of upper Bucks County. Our fields are managed for one thing: strong-flying ringneck pheasants that flush hard and make your dog earn every point and flush.
- Managed cover — native grasses, sorghum strips, and hedgerows that hold birds the way wild ground does.
- Strong-flying ringnecks — healthy, hard-flushing pheasants released for every hunt.
- Room to hunt — spread-out fields so your party has the ground to itself.

The Hunt
Hunted the traditional way — over dogs
Every hunt at KR Ranch is run behind bird dogs. We keep both pointing and flushing breeds on the property, so you'll see a dog lock up on point in the switchgrass or work the cover and put birds in the air, depending on how you like to hunt. Walk in on the flush and take your birds the way upland hunting is meant to be done.
Guided Hunts
Hunt over our pointing and flushing dogs with a guide who knows every field and hedgerow on the property. Ideal for newcomers and seasoned hunters alike.
Bring Your Own Dog
Your dog is welcome here. Members can run their own pointers, setters, and flushers on live birds all season long — the best training there is.
Small Groups
Hunt solo or bring a few friends. We keep parties small so the hunting stays safe, unhurried, and personal.
After the Hunt
We wash and clean your dog once your hunt is done, and your birds are cleaned and frozen, ready for you to take home.
Membership
Join the ranch
Membership at KR Ranch means a season of pheasant hunting close to home — reserved field time, use of our trap and skeet fields, and a place to run your dogs from November 1 through March 31. We offer two ways to join.
Premium Membership
Birds included, season-long
$13,500
per season
- 100 pheasants included for the season
- Private locker for storing your gear on-site
- Discounted rate on additional birds once your 100 are used
- Reserved field time throughout the season
- Full use of the trap and skeet fields
- Two dove shoots each September
After your 100 birds are used, additional pheasants are billed at our own cost — no upcharge.
Standard Membership
Pay only for the birds you hunt
$10,000
per season
- Full use of the trap and skeet fields
- Reserved field time throughout the season
Points System — birds are released on a point basis, with each point valued at $15.
- Pheasant — 3 points
- Chukar partridge — 2 points
Gratuity is not included

Season & Details
Plan your hunt
What to Bring
Shotgun and shells, blaze orange, and boots for field walking. Everything else — birds, dogs, and ground — is here waiting.
Hunts by Reservation
We run just two hunts each morning (9:00–11:30 AM) and two each afternoon (1:00–3:30 PM), so your party always has the property to itself. Call or email to book your date.
No License Needed
Hunting on our preserve doesn't require a hunting license — we cover it for you. Just bring your gear and show up ready to hunt.
Youth Hunters
Youths age 12 and over are welcome to join, provided they hold a valid hunter's safety certificate.
At the Clubhouse
Arrangements can be made for breakfast or lunch from our local restaurants, delivered and enjoyed right in the clubhouse before or after your hunt.
